In the past year, we’ve collectively seen an incredible surge in divisive rhetoric in the media, politics and in our own communities. Taking it beyond social media and cocktail conversation, what does this all mean for purchase decisions and how can brands of any size win in this rapidly changing atmosphere? More than ever before, consumers are looking to both big and small brands to have a point of view, which can be challenging. As an LGBT owned business, or one that seeks the segment, how do you win in this new era? In this session, we’ll discuss and present ideas on how companies can companies tap into cultural touch points that resonate with consumers and express support while keeping their eye on the prize.

The New Normal: Financial Challenges of Today's Modern Family

Four out of five households no longer fit the mom, dad, and 2.2 kids mold. As a result of shifts in American demographics, the vast majority of today’s families are considered nontraditional by standard definitions. Today’s families come in many forms: singles, blended families, same-sex couples, and multigenerational households, to name only a few. Because of their unique complexities, these families may have to cope with more challenges than traditional ones when it comes to their financial lives.

CSX - Improve the Customer Sales Experience

LGBTBEs and leaders know the importance of customer satisfaction and a good sales team, but they don’t always apply best practices or know where to start. Today’s sales challenges are overwhelming and there is too much technology to choose from. A good understanding of best practices and ideas to consider will help improve sales!

Since NGLCC’s forming we’ve seen the inclusion of LGBT businesses go from an emerging trend to a respected best practice; the end of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell in the armed forces; DOMA get overturned; and marriage equality sweep across America and expand around the world. And yet many inequalities still loom over our communities in these uncertain times. From ENDA to trans rights, economic equality to global rights, this session will bring together an expert panel of renowned LGBT journalists, corporate leaders, entertainers, and politicians as they tackle the proverbial question of “What’s next?” for the LGBT community as NGLCC heads toward the next 15 years.
