History of Supplier Diversity Initiative at NGLCC

The NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative was inspired by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), and their missions to create opportunities for women and minority owned businesses within corporate supply chains.

The NGLCC was joined by First Founding Partner IBM, as well as Wells Fargo & Company, JPMorgan Chase, Motorola, Travelport, Intel, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, American Airlines, American Express, Lehman Brothers, and Ernst & Young to create the NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative.

The NGLCC Supplier Diversity Initiative (SDI) now coordinates the exclusive, independent third-party certification for LGBT Business Enterprises. The certification is the third diverse certification nationally recognized by the corporations who are leading the way for LGBT equality within procurement practices.

If you are a representative of a business considering certification, determine if your business is eligible, or click to start the certification process. If you have questions, check out our Frequently Asked Questions page, or email our Supplier Diversity team .
