Aurelio Hurtado de Mendoza serves as NGLCC’s Senior Vice President of Stakeholder Engagement. In his role, Aurelio is responsible for leading strategy for several of the organization’s key initiatives, including corporate recruitment and retention, the NGLCC Stakeholder Engagement Center, and NGLCC’s meetings and events. In addition, Aurelio works to grow NGLCC’s Industry Councils and their related initiatives, as well as the expansion of the organization’s Partnership+ Program.
Aurelio came to NGLCC with 25+ years of corporate, sales, and educational experience. He has worked in various capacities with organizations such as the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, University of North Texas, National Spirit Group, InVentiv Health, Grainger, and NGLCC Platinum Circle Certified LGBTBE® American Meetings, Inc. (AMI). In his previous role at AMI, Aurelio directly managed the supplier and corporate partnership relationships with the NGLCC; this direct experience provides him with valuable insight into the unique needs of both suppliers and corporate partners in his role at NGLCC.
Aurelio holds a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Florida International University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School. Aurelio was born and raised in Miami, FL, where he currently resides with his fiancé Ken and their dog, Blu.
