NGLCC is pleased to announce the eighth installment of the “LGBT Biz Pitch” entrepreneurial competition plenary – our own version of the ABC hit show Shark Tank – at the 2023 International Business & Leadership Conference in Denver, CO. The application process will be open to both NGLCC Certified LGBT Business Enterprises® (LGBTBEs) and all LGBT entrepreneurs that are eligible and intend to obtain LGBTBE Certification or International LGBTI Supplier Registration through NGLCC. A business must be 51% or more LGBT-owned and -operated in order to be eligible for LGBTBE Certification or International LGBTI Supplier Registration.

Finalists in “LGBT Biz Pitch” will present onstage in front of the conference plenary audience during the 2023 International Business & Leadership Conference. Entrepreneurs will be selected to give their best 5-minute presentation on their company, a new or existing product, market, or other innovation with the purpose of gaining valuable feedback from an expert panel of judges. The one-minute pitch videos for each Finalist will be shared during the program in advance of the five-minute onstage presentation. The winner of “LGBT Biz Pitch” will receive $50,000 in cash & prizes, including a cash prize of $25,000 along with an additional $25,000 business consulting package.

Application Process: All submitted applications will have the chance to be featured in conference marketing leading up to the big event. Participants must register to attend the 2023 International Business & Leadership Conference in Denver, CO from August 14-18. NGLCC retains the rights to feature all applicants in conference and general marketing before and following the event. NGLCC will launch a social media voting campaign to promote the Top 15 Semi-Finalist candidates leading up to the conference. Votes will be considered in the Finalist selection. Finalists will be coached throughout the process with an assigned NGLCC Corporate Mentor in order to elevate their presentations on the main stage. Finalist decisions are based on a combination of subjective criteria such as likes, shares, votes, and comments, coupled with objective criteria such as business viability, scalability, pitch and preparation.
