The NGLCC Connection

AMI became certified as a Certified LGBTBE ® in 2012 and is proud to be under the mentorship of Novartis Pharmaceuticals as part of the NGLCC Mentorship Program.  In addition to their foundation in the corporate meeting and event industry, founders Andy McNeill and Todd Bludworth are active members in the local and national LGBT communities.

In 2005, Andy founded the Human Rights Campaign South Florida and has served in many capacities including events chair, Federal Club Chair, and the HRC South Florida Chair over the past 8 years. In January 2013, Andy saw his vision through to reality with the introduction of the Anti-Bullying Summit.  The Summit brought together over 400 parents, school administrators politicians and other community activists. Participants attended workshops focusing on all areas of bullying including verbal, physical, social alienation and cyber bullying of all types of students, including those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). Next up for the group is its 12th Annual Greater New York Human Rights Campaign Gala in February, where “The View” co-host and Oscar award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg will be honored with an “Ally For Equality” Award.

AMI COO, Todd Bludworth, grew up in a military family with activism in his blood.  As the son of an Army Officer turned DC lobbyist, Todd worked summers as a Page in the US Senate and later managed fundraising efforts and candidate appearances for a Florida state senate campaign.  Todd parlayed this experience in to the corporate meeting and event business having worked with Fortune 500 corporations such as Anheuser-Busch, Mars Corporation and pharmaceutical giants such as Novartis, Pfizer, MannKind, Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Shire and Baxter.  Todd serves as a board member on the Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and volunteers as Parade Chairman for South Florida’s Stonewall event.

Todd and Andy, together 12 years, were married in Vermont in 2009, have 2-year old twins, Samuel and Annabelle, and are active in South Florida Family Pride providing support to other local families with LGBT parents.
