Meet the 2018 Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year: Todd Rice

This year’s National Dinner will honor a longstanding member of the NGLCC community: Todd Rice, Manager, Purchasing Center of Excellence at American Airlines.

Todd is a champion for LGBT business in his role developing the American Airlines supply chain and has represented American Airlines at countless NGLCC council meetings and special events. He not only has a long-term relationship with NGLCC but also has developed close relationships with the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce and American Airlines’ “Pride” Employee Business Resource Group. Through these relationships, Todd has been instrumental in making connections and engaging others to support supplier diversity within American Airlines.

Todd is also a tireless advocate for Certified LGBTBE® companies outside of his direct role at American Airlines. He has coached nearly a dozen Certified LGBTBE® companies to success through the NGLCC Mentorship program by giving them the support and resources needed to start and grow a small business. Todd also makes up an integral part of our NGLCC Certification committee, which meets each month as the final step in the approval process for LGBTBE® companies looking to get certified.

For his work, Todd has been honored with the American Airlines 2016 Earl G. Graves Award for Leadership in Inclusion and Diversity and NGLCC is thrilled to further honor his work as our 2018 Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year.
