We’re proud to be supported by corporate partners who are willing to step up and support the causes they care about. We’ve seen time and time again their support for the LGBT business community and the LGBT community at large, but after the devastation of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we’d like to take a moment to appreciate the contributions our partners have made towards relief efforts. From providing links to donation funds on their website, physical assistance, and financial contributions, our NGLCC community has been more than willing to aid the hurricanes’ victims.
Collectively, our corporate partners have donated over one hundred and fifty million dollars to providing aid and rebuilding the Gulf Shore area, Florida and the Caribbean islands hit by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. The majority of our corporate partners provided direct contributions to Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief efforts, but many also donated by contributing physical resources and matching employee donations in addition to their monetary contributions. Overall, they have put together an incredible sum of money and physical aid to support the countless people who have lost their possessions and livelihoods in the storm.
We salute our partners who were able to contribute and continue to encourage the LGBT community and its allies to rally around Hurricane Harvey and Irma victims.
