NGLCC Remembers Pulse, One Year Later

A year ago this week the NGLCC community was heartbroken by a senseless attack on our community at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando. We mourned, and still mourn, for those taken and offer love and support to the survivors and their families still in need of healing.

Our national chamber network continues to stand firmly in support of our local affiliate chamber, MBA Orlando, as they continue to work with other Central Florida based LGBT organizations to keep our community safe and connected.

We hope you will join us in promoting messages of solidarity and compassion for our community using the hashtag #HonorThemWithAction — a call to action to uproot hatred and bigotry of all kinds with deeds of love and visibility. By being out and proud in our businesses, we are doing our part to show the world that we will never be afraid again.

Tragedy cannot overshadow the power of love and community. The outpouring of support from Certified LGBTBE® companies, allied organizations, and NGLCC Corporate Partners following the attack reaffirmed our shared stake in making America fully inclusive and welcoming for all communities.

Join us taking a moment of reflection by viewing our Pulse tribute video from last year’s Conference:

In a few weeks the NGLCC family will be back together again in Las Vegas for our Conference. So many of us view Conference as a ‘family reunion’, and as we remember those we lost in Orlando– and in tragedies facing our community around the globe– we lean on one another and commit ourselves to a brighter tomorrow where we all can THRIVE.

Yours in solidarity,
