NATIONAL LGBT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (NGLCC) AND DENNY’S PARTNER FOR HUNGRY FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Students are eligible to win one of three $3,000 scholarships for their ideas on bringing communities together.

WASHINGTON, D.C.–  The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBT community and the exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned businesses, in  partnership with  Denny’s, Inc., is  pleased to announce the 2020 launch of the  Hungry for Education scholarship program.  Now open for qualified student applicants, the scholarship program will award scholarships to deserving candidates who share unique, actionable ideas on ways Denny’s can help bring communities together.

“NGLCC is so pleased to partner with Denny’s to make a difference in communities across the country. Together we will help put the ideas of young LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs into action,” said NGLCC Co-Founder & President Justin Nelson. “A vital part of our mission is to cultivate the next generation of LGBTQ+ business leaders in our community who will create lasting change across the nation.”

NGLCC will help select this year’s winners and administer the scholarships on behalf of the organization and Denny’s. Qualified students are invited to apply by visiting the Hungry for Education Scholarship site at www.dennyshungryforeducation.com, where they can begin the application process. High school and college students will be asked to submit an essay on how Denny’s can help bring communities together. The deadline for applying is December 11, 2020.

Upon review of the winning applicants’ essays, Denny’s will select ideas from the pool of winners to put the essay plans into action, working directly with the student scholarship winners to make a difference in the local communities.
