NGLCC Celebrates LGBT Business Success at the 2019 NGLCC National Dinner

Washington, D.C. — On Nov. 22, 2019, the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) celebrated the leaders of the LGBT community at the 2019 National Dinner. IBM once again returned as a presenting sponsor of the gala, which took place at the historic National Building Museum.

The National Dinner served as the culmination of the fourth annual NGLCC Global LGBTI Business Week, presented by Accenture. This multi-day series of meetings, workshops and networking focused on focus on sharing new thought leadership and existing best practices for global LGBTI economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and development. A special thanks to our embassy partners for making these events possible!
 
Hundreds of LGBT business owners, corporate diversity leaders, elected officials and representatives from NGLCC Global international affiliates were in attendance at the National Dinner. 
 
“2019 has been a year of tremendous growth and success in the LGBT business community. It was an honor to showcase the resilience, strength, and determination of the LGBT community at our National Dinner as we celebrate those leaders and organizations that keep the NGLCC “Fired Up,” said NGLCC Co-Founder & President Justin Nelson. “NGLCC has built a network of over 1200 certified businesses and over 250 corporate and government partners. This year’s inclusive economic policy wins have strengthened this network even more. We are excited for even more progress in 2020.”

Recognizes a corporation for their outstanding support and dedication to ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for LGBT suppliers, customers and employees.

 

Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year | Salvador M. Enríquez, Supplier Diversity Manager, Wells Fargo

Recognizes a leader who has demonstrated commitment to outreach and inclusion of LGBT suppliers in the diverse supply chain at their company.

 

NGLCC Affiliate Chamber of the Year | GSBA – Washington State’s LGBTQ & Allied Chamber of Commerce

Recognizes an NGLCC Affiliate Chamber for their local community leadership, support and promotion of Certified LGBTBE® certification, advocacy initiatives and innovative programming that supports the LGBT business community.

 

LGBT Supplier of the Year | Eck, Collins & Richardson, PL

Recognizes an exemplary Certified LGBT Business Enterprise® (Certified LGBTBE®) for their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of LGBT supplier diversity.

 

NGLCC / American Airlines Extraa Mile Award | Deborah “Debbie” Gibson

Recognizes an LGBT or allied person, persons or organization that have gone the extra mile to support LGBT equality.

 

NGLCC Pinnacle Award | The Washington Blade

Recognizes an LGBT or allied person, persons, or organization, that has been a trailblazing leader in the promotion and support of the LGBT community.

Recognizes government officials who have elevated the LGBT business community and ensure that LGBT issues are a vital part of their legislative priorities.
