Washington, D.C. – The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBT community, will host a symbolic exchange between global LGBT business leaders at the NGLCC International Business & Leadership Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Delegates from each country will offer a unique product that exemplifies their respective national organization’s work around LGBT corporate diversity, inclusion, and economic opportunity.
Peru—the latest addition to the NGLCC Global family—will join Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States for this special exchange of cultures and business best practices. The meeting will underscore the strong partnership within NGLCC’s international network and the deep commitment to trade and commerce between these countries. There will also be a call to action to continue advocating for the economic rights of LGBT people worldwide and highlight the ever-growing contributions of the LGBT community to create jobs, grow economies, and dramatically improve perceptions about LGBT citizens in their countries.
“LGBT economic opportunity is a global priority and needs global perspectives like those attending the NGLCC conference to succeed,” said Justin Nelson, NGLCC Co-Founder and President. “We’re honored to host these courageous and innovative business and advocacy leaders who are ensuring that LGBT citizens and business owners around the globe are appreciated, supported, and empowered to collaborate and create lasting economic and social change.”
The NGLCC annual conference is the largest LGBT business development and economic advocacy event in the world, bringing together more than 800 LGBT and allied entrepreneurs, business owners, corporate representatives, and LGBT chamber leaders from across the country and around the globe. Photos, videos, and great insights from the conference will be shared on social media using #NGLCC15.
