NGLCC Mourns Loss of CA State Rep. Gwen Moore

The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the business voice of the LGBT community is deeply saddened by the loss of visionary former California Assemblywoman Gwen Moore.She will forever be remembered for championing General Order 156 more than 30 years ago, addressing the need for greater access to contracting opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses. Without her leadership, there would not have been a path to including disabled and service-disabled-veteran-owned businesses, and ultimately the passage of AB1678. That bill added LGBT-owned businesses to public sector procurement for the first time in American history.
She will be missed, but her legacy will live on through her work helping make the American Dream accessible to more Americans than ever before.
