The NGLCC is no longer affiliated with Porter Wright.
Through several news stories and social media channels, NGLCC became aware that Porter Wright and Ronald Hicks were involved in the litigation recently filed in Pennsylvania challenging the presidential election. As an organization dedicated to the LGBT community, NGLCC believes this lawsuit is completely inconsistent and incompatible with our organization’s mission, values, policies and beliefs and its goal is entirely contrary to the inclusiveness that NGLCC and the vast majority of our affiliates, the LGBT business owners we represent, and our Corporate Partners continue to strongly support. After much thought and deliberation, NGLCC decided to end its affiliation with Porter Wright and Mr. Hicks no longer serves on NGLCC’s Certification Committee.

We are not in the business of dictating what corporate operations are, but when they act intentionally against the integrity of democracy and the safety of our communities, we will not let it go ignored.
As we said in our celebratory statement on the Biden-Harris election: “Today we celebrate a victory for America’s diverse business communities, American voters, and American democracy. The election process has done what it needed to do, and we have elected Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris as a result.”
The process has been fair, transparent, and conclusively decided in Pennsylvania, and elsewhere. The NGLCC proudly stands behind our endorsement, our work with the campaign to see Joe Biden and Kamala Harris elected and our support for this legitimately-won election victory.
We look forward to working with the new Administration and their stated commitments to beat COVID-19, restart our economy, combat racism, and ensure equality and equity for every American.
Nothing and no one will distract us from that work.
