Diversity Fulfillment Services: Success Following AB1678

In September 2014, NGLCC helped pass AB1678, which opened up many opportunities for Certified LGBT Business Enterprise (Certified LGBTBE®) companies. The law mandates that utilities companies doing business in the state of California report the amount of diverse spend they have with Certified LGBTBE® companies. NGLCC President Working to Strengthen LGBT Business Community in Italy during Historic Nationwide Speaking Tour

For the last week, NGLCC Co-Founder and President Justin Nelson has been on a tour of Italy to strengthen and build support for the Italian LGBT business community.  Mr. Nelson was invited to Italy by the U.S. Embassy as part of the Obama Administration’s larger mission to promote LGBT rights abroad. In coordination with the U.S. Embassy, he has taken part in several meetings as well as presented a series of lectures to LGBT leaders, business schools and LGBT youth across Italy. From October 2-4, Nelson spoke and led sessions at the Leaders for Change Convention in Milan, hosted by "Excellence & Diversity GLBT Executives” (EDGE).
 

NGLCC Global Falls into Action

NGLCC Global Makes Waves in the Caribbean

The Dominican Republic marks the fourth focus country for NGLCC under the LGBT Global Development Partnership, a strategic, public-private partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Wells Fargo, MillerCoors, and other key partners.

Following the inaugural LGBT Summit of the Americas in Colombia in 2012 and last year’s summit in Mexico, NGLCC was pleased to bring the third rendition of the series to Peru’s capital city. The event not only provided an unparalleled opportunity to assemble LGBT business leaders and corporate diversity professionals from across the Americas, but also served as the public launch of NGLCC’s newest international affiliate chamber, the Peruvian GLBT Chamber of Commerce (CCGLPE).
